Magdalena Velevska’s Autumn / Winter 2012 collection, entitled ‘Girl of my Dreams’, certainly is what dreams are made of. Oscillating between the realms of dark fantasies and innocent day-dreams, fallen angels and sleeping beauties; it is a collection that will not only steal hearts, but will delight imaginations and unleash unconscious desires.

French design house Maison Kitsune debuted an impressive collection taking strong influences from vintage cycling and driving. This Autumn / Winter sees the Maison Kitsune man toying with the ideas of the British gentleman with the addition of Parisian flair.

Embodying a balance of grey, black and brown, Native Son have created a collection which symbolises the modern man.
Combining a variety of styles, each with the engineered classic aesthetic of Native Son, the collection is essentially masculine. Each of the 21 looks saw an introduction of sophisticated tailoring – one that was sartorially exquisite.

Gothenburg born Alex Mattsson moved to England in 2004 to study menswear. The “new kid on the block” is being described as a member of the fresh breed of menswear designers due to his experimental techniques and ideas that push the boundaries of the current London men’s fashion scene.

Despite the growing maturity of this label, their signature flamboyance and costume inspired designs were still very much evident for the Autumn / Winter 2012 collection. Retro inspired pieces were key for the collection entitled “Happy Campers”.

Sarah Burton created a shoe collection consisting of liquid like elegance, breaching on an ethereal ballerina. One pair almost rivalled ballet points, in a hue of nude with corset-like black lacing up to, and around the ankle, with pinched wedge heel and cut-out centre.
