Self-taught designer, Alberto Echevarrieta, created his line Sinpatron in order to create clothing that was an expression of self rather than something to become a part of.

Australian design duo Jeremy J Somers and Indhra Chagoury launched their swimwear label We are Handsome in 2009. The collection was set to create individual pieces which embodied the designers mutual love of beautiful things with the appreciation of the female form.

Taking inspiration from how influential street style has became in Japan, ACV created the modern day silhouette. Charlie May has released her second collection, showcasing her signature minimalist style and androgynous look. Whilst studying Fashion Design at University of West England, May was working within the fashion industry creating her own blog, ‘Girl a la Mode’, and assisting Louise Goldin’s Spring / Summer 10 collection.

The often bypassed and overlooked shirt has been revived by London-based men’s and women’s label, Palmer//Harding. Having been part of the NEWGEN scheme since the launch of their Spring / Summer 2012 collection, Levi Palmer and Matthew Harding’s Autumn / Winter 2012 offering was much anticipated.

Paris pop-jewellery label, Yazbukey, has taken inspiration from 1950s American High School movies this Autumn / Winter 2012. Taking particular reference from John Waters’ ‘Cry Baby’, designer Yaz continued her design aesthetic of femme fatale allure with a modern-day feminist outlook.

Tokyo-based label Tim. formed a collection depicting geek chic. Oversized woollen knits, jackets and baggy pants were the basis to a collection of two halves.

Leading Australian brand Ksubi, have built a significant presence and cult following over the past 12 years. Autumn / Winter 2012’s collection W.A.R, is a mix of pattern, texture and slogans creating an impressionable collection.

Menswear designer Asher Levine showcased his fifth collection as a descent into the current socio-political society. Focussing on a futurist world, Levine focussed on a functional flair and military presence.

The Jane Bowler girl has grown up this Autumn / Winter, yet she has still managed to keep her playful nature. The London based designer chose to stick to a more sophisticated colour palette this season, contrasted with black rubber and bright metallics with gold and silver detailing.

British skateboarding and Japanese streetwear brand Silas, have created a continuation of their Spring / Summer 2012 collection. In conjunction with London’s Slam City Skates, Autumn / Winter 2012 is all about simple and structured silhouettes alongside pared-down streetwear.
