Danish menswear brand, Aleksandr Manamis, created a collection based on controlled effortlessness for their Fall / Winter 2012 collection. Layering gave the impression of elegant simplicity, whereas hidden details in the form of pleating and drapery confronted the barer aesthetic.

Hidden draping was mixed beautifully with an array of bespoke fits, which only highlighted the Aleksandr Manamis versatility of the separates and technicality of the designs. Manamis characteristically created looks in a dark palette of grey and black, and this season was no different with a predominantly monochromatic collection.

Aleksandr Manamis’ oeuvre signature looks included immaculate detailing in the form of cut, including his abstract blazer with one-button fastening and slash necked jersey with enclosed sleeves. This exquisite craftsmanship aided Aleksandr Manamis’ reputation as the king of cut and the simple silhouette.
