JENA.THEO | SPRING / SUMMER 2013
Funky prints and sequined dresses comprised the Jena.Theo Spring / Summer 2013 collection. Bustiers took centre stage and carried a striking “Hell’s Angels” theme. Mix and match pieces evoked a strong, modern aesthetic.
Designers’ Jenny Holmes and Dimitris Theocharidis are the minds behind the Jena.Theo brand, and both graduates of the London College of Fashion. Prior to founding their label, Holmes worked as a buyer and Theocharidis worked freelance for an array of British and Greek fashion houses.
Delicate organza and spun silks were combined with soft leather, printed jersey and denim. The colour palette was dusty and reminiscent of petrol fumes and sandy deserts.
Exposed zips and structured busts, sequins and beading were teamed up with chunky cream leather boots.
The most striking pieces included a black vest dress decorated with a honeycomb detail down the front, and a cowhide floor-length skirt.
Since winning the Fashion Fringe Award in 2009 the designing duo have gone on to make timeless and covetable collections. Citing their ideal clients as, “Confident and daring” their Spring / Summer 2013 presentation certainly lived up and even surpassed these expectations.
