LISA HO | FALL / WINTER 2012
Australian designer Lisa Ho’s collection is a breath of fresh air. Stepping away from the monochromatic, the Fall / Winter 2012 collection was awash with pastel hues.
Prim and polished was the theme with the use of classic shift dresses, tulip skirts, shirts and cigarette pants, using colour-popping throughout in a lively palette of mint green, lilac and cobalt blue. The garments in block colour were paired with an autumnal tone of rust brown in abstract graphic prints, creating a subtle contrast.
The looks steered away from the avant garde, instead favouring simplicity with uniform pieces such as tailored blazers. Ho’s signature use of coveted fabrics including silk and mohair remained apparent here, creating a sumptuous but clean autumnal aesthetic.
The models were silhouettes of effortless chic, and as with Ho’s previous collections this catwalk further evoked an overall look of timeless elegance – eminently wearable for the modern day women.
