NATIVE SON | FALL / WINTER 2012
Embodying a balance of grey, black and brown, Native Son have created a collection which symbolises the modern man.
Combining a variety of styles, each with the engineered classic aesthetic of Native Son, the collection is essentially masculine. Each of the 21 looks saw an introduction of sophisticated tailoring – one that was sartorially exquisite.
As with all Native Son collections, designer Kyle Fitzgibbons used only premium materials and textiles – ensuring the luxury of high-fashion was never far from the consumers mind.
Hints of leather could be seen on pared-down blazers, architecturally cut to perfection, and were paired with understated carrot-legged trousers – tapered ever so slightly at the bottom to emphasise a slim-line silhouette.
Woolen knits and heavy fabrics were fashioned into the cropped sweaters interestingly layered over the top of slim-fit blazers, fur lined overcoats and most intriguingly schoolboy-chic trousers – not forgetting those regulation front pleats.
Most looks were completed with black caps – reminiscent of riding hats, and matte leather driving gloves, oh and not to forget those mirrored sunglasses.
A country-gentleman-meets-modern-man mash-up.
