PARTIMI | FALL / WINTER 2012

Having worked with fashion greats including Mary Katrantzou, John Galliano and Eley Kishimoto, Eleanor Dorrien-Smith launched her own label Partimi in 2010.

The London-based designer is not your usual fashion alchemist, creating vivid prints in complex and elaborate hues and textures. Working closely with fabrication that explores sustainable and ethical design processes, digitally printed silks, organic wools and luxurious cashmeres formed the basis to the collection.

The Fall / Winter 2012 collection ‘North End’, features imagery from photographs taken in Tresco in the Isles of Scilly, where her father grew up. Within every collection each garment illustrates the holistic approach of efficient and considered design with the aspect of wearable art. The rough seas, rocky heath land and decomposing perennials were transformed into art on luxurious silks and cottons.

The conceptual design project has been celebrated as one of the most innovative ethical labels in London.
