STINE GOYA | SPRING / SUMMER 2012

Danish model turned fashion designer Stine Goya brings a vibrant and clean cut style to her Spring / Summer 2012 collection.

After completing her studies in print design at Central St Martin’s in 2005, she founded Stine Goya 2006.

She has since gained international acclaim for her take on ready-to-wear style, the brand is represented worldwide, featuring in renowned publications from, Vogue to Dazed and Style.com. The collection is also stocked in 90 leading stores across the world.

By incorporating her knowledge of fashion as both model and designer, Goya has managed to re-invigorate Scandinavian style, bringing a fresh new look to the Scandinavian fashion scene.

Her collection at Copenhagen Fashion Week was a display of flattering feminine silhouettes in colourful prints embedded with Swarovski crystals, loose clothing and frills all showed off Stine Goya’s dedication to creating relaxed, simple fashion.

It included a combination of jumpsuits, see-through shirts, cashmere jumpers and cardigans and dresses in warm pastel colours, accentuated by the odd metallic garment, and accessorised with large golden jewellery. The carefully designed melange exhibited beauty, drama and fashion.

Also adding to the drama of the show were the models, which were styled on Goya herself, with red wigs styled straight with a full fringe. This created a comical gimmick, adding to the fun of the collection and allowing people to be exposed to the creative mind of Stine Goya.

It was a feel good display of what summer clothing should be; fun, colourful, and easy to wear.
