TAO OKAMOTO

Tao Okamoto, a 21-year-old from Japan, was signed by Elite in 2006. In October the same year she debuted at the spring Emanuel Ungaro and Martin Grant shows in Paris and in November she appeared in a Jalouse editorial. Her debut at New York Fashion Week came shortly after, in February 2007 she strolled down the runway in the Cynthia Steffe and Marc Jacobs shows. Since then she walked a Yves Saint Laurent show in Paris, closed Roksanda Ilincic show in London and has been in a Moschino advert. A climax came this February when she became Phillip Lim’s muse two weeks after having first met him. During his Fall / Winter 2009-10 show all models had a mushroom cut coupe, inspired on her hair style. This, undoubtedly, wont be the last we see of Tao.
