TIM. | FALL / WINTER 2012
Tokyo-based label Tim. formed a collection depicting geek chic. Oversized woollen knits, jackets and baggy pants were the basis to a collection of two halves.
A new variation of the three-piece-suit was reflective of the Zoot suit circa 1940. Wide-legged baggy trousers pulled tightly below the waist, were matched with a form-fitting suit jacket and waistcoat in thick herringbone, with exposed black socks and a brave choice of running trainers.
Continuing themes of the geek revival, the schoolboy look was shown through an oversized navy duffle coat with tan toggles, short trousers, ankle socks, black brogues and a navy and tan baseball cap. Sports luxe came in to play through hoodies, roll necks and ankle-grazing cord trousers all matched with smart patent black brogues.
A collection displaying the antithesis of classic sartorial gentleman’s wear, with loose silhouettes, unstructured proportions and a sports luxe aesthetic.
