V AVE SHOE REPAIR | FALL / WINTER 2012
Astrid Olssen and Lee Cotter founded Fifth Avenue Shoe Repair in 2004. Launched solely with a women’s line, the first collection for men was created in Autumn 2006. In 2007, a rebrand and relaunch made way to the newly redefined brand – V Ave Shoe Repair. The Swedish brand went global in 2010 through its online shop and is now an international trademark.
Stockholm Fashion Week unveiled the Fall / Winter 2012 collection promoting a fresh and interesting edge on menswear. Models resembled creations from another universe as outfits gave them a futuristic look. The army enthused influence was visible throughout the show, each piece was carefully crafted giving the utmost attention to detail, something V Ave Shoe Repair are well known for.
In comparison to previous seasons, the human cyborg collection was dramatised by its styling as opposed to the clothing, making the range more versatile whilst maintaining its well known individuality. The smart blazer worn over three quarter length, tailored and military trousers added a unique touch.
The catwalk highlight was a look made up of military trousers paired with a tailored coat, Dr Martens inspired boots and wool shrug, making for an exciting combination.
