VERSACE | SPRING / SUMMER 2012
Versace’s chief designer, Donatella Versace, has given us another stunning show with the latest Versace Spring / Summer collection.
A sexy and glamorous reputation precedes it; Versace’s Spring / Summer 2012 collection is full of sharp patterns teamed with soft delicate cuts.
A garment that truly stood out was a crisp, white dress. Outlined with gold studs, the textures contrasted brilliantly with the silky fabric. The waist was pulled in to give a feminine figure, letting the delicate fabrics drop down from the waist, creating hedonic aesthetics.
Sea motifs embellished the figure hugging garments. Using a studding process, and embroidery, the designs added a playful feel to the garments.
The collection included paired outfits, such as a bandeau top with a fluid skirt, layering the outfit with a tailored jacket. Each garment had the same smooth, apple green material; decorated with outlines of seahorses and seashells in blue hues.
Every outfit created ultra-sensuous curves, and oozed a womanly feel. The collection as a whole is a smorgasbord of feminine brilliance.
Versace succeeded in creating another modern catwalk collection that highlighted a modern, female figure.
