WHAT IS YOUR EARLIEST FASHION MEMORY?
There is definitely a stack of vhs tapes of me as a child putting on fashion shows with my friends, parading down the hallway in ridiculous outfits. I tell my mother they are not allowed to surface.

Patti Smith, Jane Birkin, Chloë Sevigny
WHO IS YOUR MUSE?
Any women that attracts my eye, she can be in my mind for a day, for a week or for years. They usually have an aura about them, a way of putting things together and a prescence that screams to me.
WHAT IS YOUR INSPIRATION FOR NEXT SEASON?
Newly sharing a studio with artist Jo Holland, we came about an accidental happening where her feathers came together with my salt baths. This ignited the idea of using rock salts to grow crystal formations on feathers, focusing on the materials stark tactile contrasts in 3D and print.
WHO SHOULD WE BE LOOKING OUT FOR?
Why, Cristina Sabaiduc of course, especially with this new collaboration with Jo for SS13. We’re extremely excited!
CAN YOU DESCRIBE YOUR OWN STYLE?
Natural and relaxed, yet versatile. I like to get dressed once in the morning and be ready for anything morning to night. The only exception is shoes, those I might change.
WHICH IS YOUR FAVOURITE SEASON?
Summer always, everyone becomes undone.
WHICH IS YOUR FAVOURITE DECADE/ERA?
Easy, the 70′s, doesn’t everyone say they were meant for another decade?
IN YOUR OPINION WHAT IS 2012 ALL ABOUT?
Almost over, haha, my mind is already in 2013. With the royal newlyweds, the Queen’s Diamond Jubille and now the Summer Olympics, 2012 makes me think of Team GB and this amazing city.
WOULD YOU SAY THAT FASHION HAS BECOME MAINSTREAM? WHY, WHY NOT?
No not at all, the globalization of fashion has expanded it’s reach and therefore yes you could say ideas, trends and accessibility of information has become mainstream. All this access creates a platform for genuinly interesting concepts, crafts and innovations to really be celebrated and showcased. Many new designers are utilizing the internet and social media to establish an extremely niche style or aesthetic.
IF YOU HAD TO PICK JUST ONE ITEM OF CLOTHING OR AN ACCESSORY TO RESCUE FROM A HOUSE FIRE WHAT WOULD IT BE?
A floor length green floral dress my mother made for herself in the 70s, I always had to be tactful in gaining her old peices.
IF YOU COULD DESIGN A LOOK FOR ANYONE (ALIVE NOW OR DEAD) WHO WOULD IT BE?
Marie Anotionette in modern times, a random choice I know, but knowing her history of fashion choices, she could rival Lady Gaga any day. Would be a ridiculously fun project.
WHAT ARE YOU LISTENING TO RIGHT NOW?
Newly discovered TuneIn Radio through my iPhone, and now happily going through all radio station known to man.
IF YOU COULD HOP ON A PLANE TO ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD WHERE WOULD YOU GO?
Nepal, it’s the one screaming at me on the to-do list and would be an amazing getaway.

London, wouldn’t want to be anywhere else right now.
WHAT DO YOU MISS WHEN YOU’RE NOT AT HOME?
Having an amazing support network of family and friends that spans a few countries, I rarely feel like I’m not at home!
WHERE’S THE HOTTEST PLACE IN LONDON RIGHT NOW?
My studio, it’s a sauna with one little fan.
WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO PUSH?
Innovation in our approach to textiles and materials. The idea of synthetic biology has recently sparked my interest.
