For Christopher Kane’s Fall 2013 men’s collection, elements from Kane’s pre-fall women’s line have been reworked especially for men.

Deliciously dark, fashion designer Christopher Kane released his first pre-fall collection.

Christopher Kane took a pragmatic and refreshing approach to his Resort 2013 collection. He avoided the precious and ostentatious and crafted a truly ready-to wear and somewhat retrospective 2013 line.

It seems that this year we have somehow missed out on the Great British summer we were all hoping for. However it’s time to move on and look forward for Summer 2013, as it is set to be full of colour according to Christopher Kane spring summer 2013 menswear.

Over the years British label, Christopher Kane, fronted by brother and sister duo, Christopher and Tammy Kane, and have gained somewhat of a reputation for delivering the shock factor with the Christopher Kane collections. Garish colours, futuristic fabrics and wildly experimental textures meant that Kane’s collections were highly anticipated, but Spring / Summer 2012 is proof that, in only one season, things can change.

Christopher Kane made an astounding impression with his Resort 2012 collection. Kane, himself, said, ‘I wanted something natural, but I’m so fed up with florals…and then I came across these images of nuclear test explosions from the fifties to the seventies on the Internet. I like the crazy-bright chemical colours. The way they’re sinister – but beautiful.’ The basis of his resort collection, therefore, lies in the clouded plumes of this smoke and chemical electricity that circles the sky.
