When Derek Lam debuted his collection at NYFW in 2003 it was branded as an overnight success. Since then Lam has graced our catwalks with informal glamour. His Fall / Winter 2012 is a collection full of casually chic revivals from overlooked eras.

Derek Lam’s diffusion line 10 Crosby defines Manhattan sleek, with added Parisian chic. Rich autumnal colours of orange, deep red, greens, browns and shimmers of gold, grace Fall / Winter 2012.

Derek Lam is an American fashion designer. He was born in San Francisco, California but has a Chinese American origin. Lam graduated from Parsons School of Design in 1990. Lam began working as an assistant for Michael Kors in the 90s and worked there for four years. Lam then moved to Hong Kong to work for a large retail brand. Following his Hong Kong experience, Derek returned to New York and was appointed vice President of Design for Michael Kors’ Kors line.
