Inspired by actress Catherine Deneuve in Indochine and La Sirène du Mississippi de Libran when instructed to design a collection fit for the tropics. Deneuve was marked for effortlessly keeping her French cool despite the stifling heat on-set.

Finding inspiration in his childhood experiences in Africa and love of sportswear, Kim Jones first collection for Louis Vuitton married luxury with a sense of nomadic and urban preppy cool.

In a move away from the pared back fifties lady chic, the mood of the spring collection was decadent, frivolous, bold and circus inspired.
