Avant-garde jewellery designer Maria Francesca Pepe introduced a new concept to the fashion world – ‘Jewellery-Wear’. Pepe aims to blur the boundaries between accessories and clothing, ensuring a classic functionality alongside avant-garde design.

Maria Francesca Pepe’s Fall / Winter 2011 collection, was presented as a short film titled ‘Fortuna’. The experience was somewhat of a religious experience. The relationship between religion and fashion is not new, however, when done with the type of passion demonstrated here, it never gets old. The pieces were an intensely dark element. But of course, in religion, there is always a dark side, and no fashion brand is complete without references of underworld which added to the extra kick in the collection. Religion, in theology, is a ritualistic experience.
